JANE-ANNE

DUGAS

(depuis 2015)

SECRÉTAIRE-SECRETARY

Jane-Anne was a Community Food Advisor for 20 years when the program ended. She remained with it for many reasons; it satisfied her keen interest in all things food and nutrition, and gave her great friendships and the opportunity to teach others basic food skills.

Through the Community Food Advisor Program, she learned about the Good Food Box project, the Good Food Markets and the Market Mobile (back when it was on an OC Transpo bus!). It is also through this program that she discovered the Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre (RRCRC).

Her thoughts on the place: “You mean there is an organization just up the street from me that does all this good work and I have never heard of it?” When she saw they were looking for new board members in 2015, she applied and has been volunteering in that capacity ever since.
